That's still not Android, that's just the apps. That's just emulation, not even close a useable desktop operating system. And honestly Android's model doesn't make much sense on a desktop, it's designed for low power, low resource devices. It's great on a phone, but it would be really annoying if your desktop OS started doing things closing programs you're running to free up memory without asking you, or only allow one running foreground program at a time.
Valid points, however that same enterprise enviroment also includes mobiles and are as likely to treat these mobile computing devices in the same manner.
all the security companies are looking at the handheld market as a growth area (desktop/server/laptop market is pretty static) whilst I do not claim that it will overtake windows I certainly would not be supprised if it did
it is not just the imerging market of mobiles, windows is under threat from other OS's and cloud services
in addition the OP does not state the company being refered to, if this is one of the smaller firms then it can well be the case that between the growth of android and the ever pressing pressure of the big players this particular company may find it being the case
