Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason? Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? --Zachris Topelius
Training a telescope on one’s own belly button will only reveal lint. You like that? You go right on staring at it. I prefer looking at galaxies. -- Sarah Hoyt
I have to laugh at this one, having spent many years in the Oz bush, place called Ivanhoe of all things, I have the little pests for granted, easy to avoid, step on them if they get too close (obviously this does not apply to crocs and sharks).
At least we don't have f***ing great bears and tigers and lions that jump out and eat you!
Never underestimate the power of human stupidity RAH
Same. Will look at the source of those pages later to see if keyword stuffing is in effect.
I think computer viruses should count as life. I think it says something about human nature that the only form of life we have created so far is purely destructive. We've created life in our own image. Stephen Hawking
Thanks - yep I did find that page, and it kind of helped - I was curious about the other stuff clogging Google, though.
(incidentally, with the LLBLGen problem, I have the latest dlls from v2.6 AFAIK and still get thte exception - the good news is that the exception seems to be thrown post - instantiating the object tree from the XML so I can probably ignore it!
There are a few obnoxious sites like that (I won't mention them here to avoid giving them any publicity). They modify the first part of their domain name to fit search results. Apparently using different URLs (with no relation to the search result) has the same effect on Google.
E.g.: if it were CP, if you were to Google for "CListCtrl", the site returns clistctrl.codeproject.com, which generally contains a list of BS results or links to other sites (some of which may be genuine).
I use personal blocklist[^] to keep them away (Google's built-in block doesn't work on such sites due to the different addresses)
assuming you're the white bloke then you did good on your fitness proving again that its not how you start but how you finish the other chap certainly blew his load in the first round. If one might offer a tad piece of advise - you're too upright when you fight. Good fitness and tenacity well done.
MCAD --- To paraphrase Fred Dagg - the views expressed in this post are bloody good ones. --
took a lot of training to get me to keep my posture when I fight. The reason he was getting takedowns is because I let him back me up against the cage. I don't think it was too bad for my first fight. It took about half the round to get my bearings.
Ammy fighters don't get paid here, so it's a very expensive hobby
I do it for several reasons. I got into it on my way to getting healthy and losing weight. I think when it started I had a lot to prove. Now it's just testing myself and my training more than anything. Pride and the competition are two good reasons , yeah.
