Well, maybe not so much "requirements" as much as "cool", but I was going to stand-up a database server for my MediaAtHome project, and I was originally going to use an old Sony Vaio laptop, but then I thought, "what if I want/need another NAS box"? So I have an old web server box just sitting around, and I thought I'd install Windows 7 on it (in order to utilize a 180GB SSD I had laying around), and (possibly) in a VM, another copy of FreeNAS to manage the NAS-dedicated hard drives. On the other hand, I could simplify things by just letting Windows handle the additional NAS drives I suppose (I've almost talked myself into this)...
My current NAS box has one 3tb drive (for backups of other machines), and three 2tb media drives, and I suspect by this time next year, all three media drives will be full.

Those of you that keep detailed records of my life may remember that I got engaged over a year ago, in that same week my fiancee and I both lost our jobs. That put wedding plans on hold for a while, but today, we picked the date and venue for the reception. 4/20/123. Yeah, 4/20, I know.
Though we will probably get secretly [courthouse] hitched on 12/21/12 for legal reasons, and also to make the Mayan prophecy come true, at least for us.
Congrats! And good luck! Marriage is hard! 1st rule: be nice. 2nd rule: you're wrong and refer to 1st rule.
