Emergency services nowadays are only trained to handle terrorist threats, but, given that there is only a handful of terrorists in the entire world, they've got nothing to do, so anyone they can treat as material for an "anti-terrorism training" exercise gets absolute A-1 top priority.

Agence France Presse, Nov. 24, 2012: authorship unattributed: "Japan 'geeks' seek love at masked match-making:" [^]
"A 33-year-old man wearing the mask of a villain from a 1970s TV show hit it off with a 26-year-old woman with a Mickey Mouse face on. Both managed to keep smiling when they revealed what was under the disguise.
"My heart was beating as I was taking off the mask," said the Mickey Mouse woman.
Asked if the matchmaking would result in a real date, the man -- who gave his name as Furuta Oribe, a samurai and master of tea ceremony from the 16th century -- was a little unsure.
"I hope so, yes?" he asked, turning to his new beau.
"I was really nervous. I still cannot believe this," he said."

Not to worry, I'm sure this first probe into geek-match costume space will go viral, and that events for geek(s) of every gender seeking geek(s) of any gender will soon follow.
But, perhaps by clicking the =>macro cosmic zoom-out icon enough times we can look across the whole planet, we can ask the question: isn't human (primate) sexuality, expressed in our internal sense of self's "gestalt" (foreground perception) of our body's location on a continuum of gender identities ... expressed in gender preference in sexual partner(s), intimate behavior, short- and long-term bonding ... one of the most complex masks we wear ?
And, a mask that does change, even though for most(?) people the fiction the mask doesn't change ... ever ... at all ... is a reliable self-evident truth. Others enjoy changing masks, without altering biological endowment at all; and, for some, a radical mask switch can be so demanded by the dissonance between psychic gender and physical sexual form, that surgery and hormones are needed to re-cycle the old chassis, so a new mask of the yearned-for gender can be worn permanently.
But, who am I to ponder how many roads intersect at such complex intersections of genetics, environment, testosterone, estrogen, child-rearing, socialization after childhood, and cultural context ?
Could we ask, even, if the personas of Lounge high-frequency posters are: masks ?

Yep, got the 10.1 Note.
In general - pretty impressed with it.
I'm running Cyanogen on it and runs really well. Do lose some stuff if you put a custom ROM like the split windows and IR blaster capability but I prefer bare bones to the Samsung Touch Wiz stuff.
The pen is very awesome and the only reason why I bought it. It's not paper and pen but it's very close and with some of the apps out there you can get vector based writing which is a huge bonus.
The only two downsides I've found:
- 30 pin port
The 30 pin port instead of Micro USB isn't a biggie, it's just I can't use my other cables, again, not something I cry about.
The resolution isn't that bad, in fact it's quite nice but sometimes you can see the pixels, but does depend on what you're doing. A full HD screen crammed into there would be very nice, in fact if a another version comes out with full HD, I'll get it. The same screen technology that is in the S3 would be nice here, just full HD.
The glare is slightly annoying, most of the time it's fine, but it's the same most electronic devices and screen reflection.
Anyways, great device, decent build quality, sound via closed headphones is very awesome. Great for graphics work, some UI design and creating rough artwork I can reference later.
Have hooked up a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse to it as well and that can be very useful in certain situations. Also hooked up a PS3 controller - and that is very cool. Haven't tried plugging in hard drives into it (haven't got the OTG cable) but I'm sure it can manage that.
Overall - I'd recommend it. The pen made the purchase for me, otherwise would have gone with a Transformer Prime (TF700 I believe). Did look at iPads but no pen capability there except for add on devices. Plus I already have heaps of Android apps on the phone. Didn't really look at the Surface nor did I want to, it's not here in NZ anyways. But am running Windows 8 on the laptop and... well, that's another story.
