Is anyone here a user/advocate of GoPro Hero devices ?
I dont currently have a camera/video recorder, excepting my iPhone - I'll need something I can use hands-free - and before certain dirty minds start (you know who you are), Im doing 2 (more) butchery courses in Feb - Pork, then Charcuterie - Ive already done sausage making - yummm
Anyway, the point is, I'd like to be able to record the instructor - maybe I dont need all 'knifestrokes' for example, when he demonstrates breaking down a pig into into various cuts - so, one way or another, I need to optimise still shots/video vs battery life - the pork course is 4 hours, maybe 2 hours real work, the charcuterie course is listed as 6 hours
Any thoughts appreciated
(oh, I dont get a chance to make bacon, although I will know what cut to use)
"We live in a world ruled by fictions: mass merchandising, advertising, politics as advertising, instant translation of science, technology, into popular imagery, increasing blur of identity in realms of consumer goods, preempting any free, original, imaginative, response to experience by the television screen. We live in an enormous novel. For a writer it's less necessary to invent a novel's fictional content: fiction's already there. A writer's task is to invent a reality." J. G. Ballard, 1974
Why can't I be applicable like John? - Me, April 2011 ----- Beidh ceol, caint agus craic againn - Seán Bán Breathnach ----- Da mihi sis crustum Etruscum cum omnibus in eo! ----- Just because a thing is new don’t mean that it’s better - Will Rogers, September 4, 1932
Mom- Ok, but it just seems like quite a lot. Love you.
Mom- It was tough to get some of the older issues, but I got 30! Hope the R n' D magazines help! Merry Christmas!!
So, does anyone need some extra copies of Popular Science and Popular Mechanics? I have plenty.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?
Training a telescope on one’s own belly button will only reveal lint. You like that? You go right on staring at it. I prefer looking at galaxies.
