The Lounge is rated PG. If you're about to post something you wouldn't want your
kid sister to read then don't post it. No flame wars, no abusive conduct, no programming
questions and please don't post ads.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?
Training a telescope on one’s own belly button will only reveal lint. You like that? You go right on staring at it. I prefer looking at galaxies.

I don't believe I am watching this at 1:20 AM... I haven't been to CP for a long time and when I finally got here, the only place I visit is The Lounge.
BTW it is fun to observe how CP subtitle changes over time... When I was registering it was homely "Your Visual Studio and .NET Homepage", at some point of time it changed to a serious "Programming Resource", and now it is a social "CodeBook For those who code". I think it accurately describes the evolution of CP
Heck, it's only 10 minutes into Christmas Day here, and I've just polished off Santa's share of the scotch and am working on his plate of cookies. I haven't got a chimney, and there's no way that fat bugger is going to slip through the kitchen sink air vent, so I assume he's sent all that's coming via Fedex, and he won't be stopping by. Just as well, as it takes until half past Spring to scrape the reindeer crap off the roof and out of the gutters when he does come to visit...
Second, I have decided to rewrite my Rich Text Editor project in C#, which is now my primary development language. I am going to add a bunch of Windows 7 features to the application, such as Jumplists, Task Dialogs, Application Restart and Recovery, and so on. I will also be implementing an automatic updater for the application.
Does anyone here have any ideas for other AddIns I can create for the application? The ones I already have in mind are a scripting AddIn (IronPython by default, has extensibility points for other languages) and a Web Browser AddIn (either CEF or GeckoFX. Or Both. ). The updater will also be its own AddIn.
The internet is a great way to get on the net.
