I vaguely remember way back when I was in high school, a snow day was an excuse to do donuts all the way to school(yes, had my own car from age 15). No thoughts of school out and I grew up just a couple of hours from where I am now.

Be careful which toes you step on today, they might be connected to the foot that kicks your butt tomorrow.
Ice and snow are very normal here and since about two years adequate winter tires are made mandatory by law. Without good tires it would really be no good idea to drive anywhere, but refusing to come to work would appear a little hysterical.
And ever since I had my first car, I dive to an empty parking lot full of fresh snow every winter and look what the tires and the car have to say to that. Simulating an obstacle with a cardboard box and then trying to stop before it or evade it is good training and after that you can do some laps around the lot, see when the tires lose their grip, drift through the curves and try to control the drifting. All without anybody getting hurt.
Haha. Well, in my area we ended up not getting anything. Nothing more than rain (some of it a mix with freezing rain). No ice this morning. Temperature was 33°F, one degree above freezing. No ice on my car, on the road, or elsewhere. That's usually how it goes. It's when they don't expect it to hit us that we get it the worst, it seems.

(I seem to remember one episode where a plane landed without a pilot).
That happens all the time now. Must be magic...

It's a 7 minute 40 second Boney segment (?). From the episode (1972): "Boney and the Payback Killer."
"What do humans depend on: words ! We're suspended in language: we can never say what's up: or, down.
We must communicate experience and ideas, but in ways that do not become ambiguous, and lose objectivity.
For parallels in human ideas to quantum theory: we must turn to psychology, or to the paradoxes of being thinkers like Buddha and Lao Tzu illuminated, when trying to grasp reality, as both observer, and actor, in human life's small-scale micro-cosmic drama."
