If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.-John Q. Adams You must accept one of two basic premises: Either we are alone in the universe, or we are not alone in the universe. And either way, the implications are staggering.-Wernher von Braun Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.-Albert Einstein
I those days it was a lot easier to build, less occupation and any that were in the way were usually either rich and probably shareholders in your company or poor and therefore of no consequence, and if a few huded navies died no problem there were plenty more
You cant outrun the world, but there is no harm in getting a head start
Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.
I think you're wording is orf. It must be from Brum, no one voluntarily goes to Birmingham.
Panic, Chaos, Destruction. My work here is done. Drink. Get drunk. Fall over - P O'H OK, I will win to day or my name isn't Ethel Crudacre! - DDEthel Crudacre I cannot live by bread alone. Construction for the London to Birmingham route will begin in 2017 and be finished by 2026. The Birmingham to Manchester/Leeds construction starts in the mid 2020s and is due to be finished by 2032 or 2033.
So the London to Birmingham part will only take 9 years (which is still shockingly slow, but it's not 20 years).
Pong > Atari 2600 > ColecoVision > NES > Super NES > Playstation > Wii
I didn't have an IntelliVision, but played it often at a friend's house. This list brings back a lot of memories.
Today, I only have a Wii. In general, I don't do much gaming anymore (no time!). It would be interesting to see other people's lists of game consoles. There are many on that list that I never actually heard of!
I have always wished for my computer to be as easy to use as my telephone; my wish has come true because I can no longer figure out how to use my telephone - Bjarne Stroustrup
The world is going to laugh at you anyway, might as well crack the 1st joke!
My code has no bugs, it runs exactly as it was written.
My list: NES > Nintendo 64 > Nintendo Virtual Boy > Xbox > Xbox 360 - Wii
I think the Nintendo 64 might still be my favorite. I haven't played it in forever, but I think the next time I go back home to my parent's house, I'm gonna grab it. There are so many good games that have a ton of replay value.
The United States invariably does the right thing, after having exhausted every other alternative. -Winston Churchill
America is the only country that went from barbarism to decadence without civilization in between. -Oscar Wilde
Wow, even the French showed a little more spine than that before they got their sh*t pushed in.[^] -Colin Mullikin
I still have all the consoles, and at least the last two of the handhelds (I think, but I'm not sure, that I still have my GBA SP around). Most of my XBox 360 games have been replaced by their PC counterparts thanks to Steam making them so cheap I don't mind buying them twice, so it's basically just used for watching Netflix on the TV, the rest aren't hooked up.
Atari 2600 (parents bought before I was born, I think) -> NES (shared) -> Genesis (shared) -> Sega CD (shared) -> PS (my brother's) -> Dreamcast (my brother's) -> PS2 (my own) -> XBox (my brother's) -> XBox360 (my own)
It would be interesting to see other people's lists of game consoles. There are many on that list that I never actually heard of!
(...late 70s...) Radio Shack TV Color Scoreboard (still usable) Atari 2600 (friend's) Intellivision (friend's) (...nothing new until early 90s...) NES (rescued from dumpster and repaired by yours truly) Gamecube (in use) Wii (in use) (...early 2000's...) XBox 1st gen, the green Halo edition (in use) XBox 360 Elite XBox 360s (Halo 4, my kid and I are addicts to the franchise )
Oh yeah, within the timeline I managed to get my hands on an Atari Flashback 2 and a Tandyvision 1 (Intellivision rebranded) over Ebay.
Ok, I go to google maps and it shows me the US map by default. And then I search for an area called Alwarpet in Chennai, India by just typing "Alwarpet" in the search box and it shows me the address of a Citibank ATM in Alwarpet on the left panel. I click on the first result, and booooooooooooooom, the maps zooms in on a Citibank ATM in San Diego, California. I never knew California was so close to where I live.
