The new version of interop between C++ and .NET in WinRT/Windows is: C++/CX, it's an improved COM bridge they say (it's probably true! Roll eyes | :rolleyes: at least it's quite pleasant to use!! Smile | :) )

Anyway, yes, I am using that. But it was fine grained. I had an IList<T> which was native and I was setting 10.000 of them.

To be fair I didn't use the (C++) Vector<T> but my own implementation of IVector<T> (as I need to do something with the data pointer in C++).
Come to think of it there might be a (non obvious) problem with my class... maybe the underlying std::vector<T> is slow?!? Unsure | :~

mm... I might make a performance test project...

anyway, if you are curious, here are a few relevant classes:
My C++ IVector: DataArray.h[^]
My C++ Pointer (wrapped in C#): NativePointer.h[^] NativePointer.cpp[^]
The C# wrapper classes: Pointer.cs[^], Pointers.tt[^]
(I couldn't use Pointer and generic, Pointers.tt generate the relevant unsafe C# for T of interest)
My programming get away... The Blog...
DirectX for WinRT/C# since 2013!
Taking over the world since 1371!
