Isn't a horse just a fast cow? Other than the fraud and drugs, etc., what's the big deal? Meat is meat. We're all too fussy and too far removed from the messy end of the food chain. If we had to catch and kill our own food...

Animal protien is animal protein regardless of its source.
Those tossers that insist that their children become vegetarians are guilty of both child cruelty and facism.
The cruelty being that the children are denied the benefits of the animal nutrients and the facism is in not allowing them to make their own informed choice.

1: Does a horse cost less to raise than a cow? I don't see the savings there.
As previously mentioned, they aren't raised for this purpose, but it's how almost every horse meets its end. Race horses, pet horses, work horses, are all worth $1 a pound last time I checked. When they get too old to serve their purpose, owners cash them out. I think it's a little f***ed up that tame horses that lived among and trusted people, get slaughtered. Would you sell for slaughter your pet dog when he turned 10?
Having fun working with prototypes today that amount to not much more than a ball of wire, hot melt glue and a couple of small PCBs.
In order to test the prototypes I’m developing a PC application to collect data from the prototypes via USB ports. But every time I turn the wire glob so I can get a measurement on the oscilloscope one of the wires touches another and sends the USB port into a "tizzy" and Win 7 blue screens.
All in a day’s work, good thing I’ve only 20 minutes left.
I suspect the 5V rail is shorting out causing the current to spike*. Or could be a lot of noise that the port may interpret as a signal and overrun the input buffer. Either way I've got some work to do on the prototype on Monday.
*USB 2.0 start up current is limited to 100 mA but can source up to 1800 mA.
I also tried out the GoPro chest mount. Still trying to work out the best modes/angle etc. Will get there eventually!
Anyway, Uploaded some of the videos to YouTube;
Video of the run in the car up the infamous C**k Bridge to Tomintoul road (well, up to the Ski Centre at least). This was using the motor sport mount on the drivers door. strange there is so much wind noise. Will need to find a better location next time. The ski centre said the roads were open, however the road signs said otherwise, so didn't even know if I was going to get up. Turns out all was well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnvUeszhlvo[^]
Yeh, it is a shame it isn't bigger and steeper. The biggest run wasn't yet open after the previous days storm. (it is number 12 on the map).
I went there as it was the easiest for both me an my pal from work to meet at. He lives further up north. The other centres nearby are Glenshee, but it didn't open till later that morning, and Cairngorm, it didn't open at all as they were still clearing snow.
Hopefully Glenshee will be good tomorrow and not too busy. Don't want to put the wife and kids off with all the queuing!
Their goal is to prop up small companies with MS software to get them to come back for all their future software needs. If you're a lone consultant they might not see an opportunity for any future sales with you.
Do you currently sell products you that you can point them at to prove you're actually in business and not somebody with a business license wanting freebies?
I got a BizSpark membership a few years back. On the application I pointed them to what I had that was for sale at the time and told them I was starting work on WP7 applications. So maybe they liked what I had for sale or were just hurting for phone developers.
