That's good... it's always nice to feel like a hot commodity. Don't forget though, people always tend to have a "grass is always greener on the other side" mentality when they're a little unhappy about something, but every position is going to have positive and negative aspects, so weigh your options before jumping to a conclusion. With that said though... it's still great to feel like you have the right skills that make people want to call.
I would assume these offers are bait to get you more involved with their agency, when you inquire further they disappear into vapour wear. I'm actually looking forward to a change of contract after 8 years, it will mean a change of country and hopefully a change of industry. Probably won't happen as they have another 3 years work mapped out and some bastard keeps finding new things they want built!
Never underestimate the power of human stupidity RAH
I just unsubscribed from some website where you can earn 'points' by shopping at certain webshops, clicking on ads, filling out surveys etc. Points could be traded for money. I've been going at it for years and finally got 120 euro. Since I had a surplus of points I decided to go for 10 euro extra. So I thought it was enough and unsubscribed. Just like that, click the unsubscribe button and all they ask 'Why did you unsubscribe?'. Click 'next' and you've lost your account and all your points. I got an email saying I could reactivate my account, which I did, and bam I got everything back... I wish every website had such an easy un/re-subscribe button. I'm member of more than one website where you need to email some moderator who's never online anymore himself (so much for getting unsubscribed). I wonder how long the re-subscription is available...?
I used to be a member of two websites a long time back. I quit one and the other went bankrupt. I was getting enough points each month for a free movie ticket. I also won $1,000 on iWon.com back in its day. Then not so long ago, it all became points for a worthy cause and no actual money exchanged hands. So I quit that too.
This one is called euroclix. I suddenly got 500 points for buying something somewhere. I shop there more often and at that rate I'll have an extra 100 euro a year (and not 120 in five years, like last time)...
