Those who do professional restorations of old master paintings use acetone I think. You might as well try something as you've nothing to lose except the search for another LP in the hope it'll have poster with it. Good luck.

Acetone. It normally dissolves such adhesives, but not printed ink. It does dissolve applied ink, such as writing or stamps, do beware.
Apply to the poster behind the intruder and give it time to loosen it up. Then, very gently, starting from a corner, gently roll off the tape.

Then they threw in something that easilly surpassed the horror of VB6: Java Script. That's very wrong.
