Fortunately, I only wear glasses driving and they stay in the car.

They're a pest for sure, and they certainly are no silver bullet.
But they make a big enough difference to make sense.
And besides, it's rude towards others not wearing one indoors in public areas.

Same situation, and I'm loving it - no more 3 1/2 hours commute each day, yay! My productivity is sky high.

I do too, but having flexible hours means that I am not constrained to a particular rhytm and it's great. Also, procastrinating while at office is limited, at home it is not: I can easily sleep an hour in bed and return fresh and motrivated, or play an entire morning a videogame that's catching me and work all afternoon with a great stride. And when I have something to do (groceries, fixing stuff, laundry...) I can do it when I feel like it - one day I tidied the entire house in the morning and rebuilt the network in the afternoon, I never have that much energy when I come home at night or during thne weekends.

Coming home from work and having their "papa, papa" was a counter medicine for the day.
Having them the whole day "papa, papa" when I am trying to work... it's driving me nuts.

I can absolutely see the day when things go back to "normal", and there's still going to be this small group of SJWs insisting that you're a murderer if you're not wearing them.

There's a great point to Facebook if you're part of the company. But I also happen to see that as "being part of the problem". Because IMNSHO Facebook is a problem and we would all have been better off with it not ever seeing the light of day.

I don't trust Facebook login for 3rd parties. I assume that I'm giving them some kind of access to my Facebook account when I do that, and that's the last thing I want to do...

I want an HTML5 wysiwyg editor I can write articles in. My modem is dying and it might be replaced tomorrow but i'm sick of editing articles on this website with this editor, especially since my internet has been cutting out and causing it to lose my work when i submit.
Mind you, aside from a couple of really glaring bugs that frustrate the heckin elephant outta me the online editor here is not actually that bad to use. Or wouldn't be if I didn't keep losing my work.
The only reason I use it is I haven't found a replacement that doesn't frustrate me more than the current solution.
I'm not a webdesigner, and I don't want something Adobe would have dreamed up. KISS.

It is still - mostly - online but I used Google Docs to create my articles...

Why an online editor at all? Do it locally, then cut-n-paste. MS Word saves decent enough HMTL if you choose "Save As | Web Page (filtered)" (that gets rid of most of the Microsoft-specific crap)
Or do you need the HTML5 stuff for active content?

Sorry I wasn't more clear but my modem is dying - the last thing I want is an online editor, especially while being tethered to the horrible rolling incompetence that is Comcast.

Agreed. I've not used anything but Notepad for all of my articles, and as a result, I've never lost a byte. Once published, rarely do I have to edit more than once. All of the bugs get worked out before ever clicking the Publish button.

I think my needs are similar to yours. I use VS Code with the Live Server extension by Ritwick Dey. I have used fancier web editors before and I find this much more suitable for a developer who occasionally writes some HTML/CSS/J*$%Scr#?t/PHP.
