"I controlled my laughter and simple said "No,I am very busy,so I can't write any code for you". The moment they heard this all the smiling face turned into a sad looking face and one of them farted. So I had to leave the place as soon as possible." - Mr.Prakash One Fine Saturday. 24/04/2004
I was learning against the news stand reading a bit of an article from the latest Wired mag today.
Cuz it's free to do that.
Got back to desk and googled "wired magazine" and I saw an offer for :
+ Wired Mag 12 months/10 issues (print + digital)
+ Free Battery backup phone charger
+ All access to digital content on site
+ digital mag access can be read on any device
All that for only $5 USD.
Here's the link where I saw it (which is the official Wired site): WIRED Magazine Subscription[^]
If you don't want to click the link you should be able to google and get the deal too, if you like.
I think it's a deal thru google maybe. $10 On the Site With Less
Also, I noticed that if you go directly to the site and click subscribe they will charge you $10 USD and you don't get a free phone charger.
Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with Wired Mag in any way and do not get any benefit from you signing up. Also I am an extremely cheap so-and-so but at $5 thought this was a pretty good deal.
Now I can lean against the uncomfortable news stand and read other mags that are more expensive.
I used to like Wired but they became very political
Yeah, I know. Lots of things have become that way. Sometimes I read the articles so I can complain about what they say and that makes me feel better.
But a lot of times I just ignore the political junk because I do find that they cover some topics in a different way and usually in a technically correct way that is interesting.
I agree and it's political in the sense that it only presents one political view, together with there being no opportunity to discuss or dispute those views which is what generally causes me to rarely visit the site.
