Well, I have been putting some major work (i.e. 1 - 4 hours) in on the code for this over the weekend. Got the basis for the game editor transactions in with the first one. Also setup the doc/view observer/subject pattern. Added in ownerdrawn menus (I know its early for that stuff, but its the drop in stuff from one of my articles, and it works just like it should )
The next thing I need to get working is creating the list of the default map objects (I intend to have this user configurable in the final product), but the game should come with a set series of objects with known bitmaps etc (and animation sequences etc). Once I get say the first 3 in, I need to start maing these selectable in the view and make it so they can be placed in the map.
Whats really surprising is, that I even drew some class diagram structures for all of this
Hopefully, I will keep this thread upto date with my progress.
