It is 120MB so the difference is really significant. I think I wouldn't bother about 12MB.

do you mean the the option 'generate debug information for symbolic debugger' on the register compile in the project properties?
This option isn't checked. So I assume I have no debug information in my compilation
I have even found an older version of my vbp file and tried to compile the project using it but the exe file was still 120MB

Sorry about that, I tend to use bin (as in binary) and exe interchangeably.

well I've also tried to delete the exe, but the result is still the same.
But during the compilation there are two phases one "compilation in progress". I suppose this is the compiler, which works fine. The obj files are created. Then the second phase "exe is being created" which is the linker.This process fails very often. Do you think that perhaps any of the dlls which are linked with my project could be corrupt?

System wide spell check
Dyslexic Helper is a spell check that can be used anywhere in windows.
I have a bit of a problem spelling due to my dyslexia, to help me with this I wrote an application that spell checks copied text. This application can be run anywhere in windows by a combination of keys or the application's menu, accessed via the system tray. Feel free to use this application as much as you like.
It is written using VB.Net as well as C# and the entire source is availble here, if you would like to see how it works. The spell check control I used is called NetSpell. I have changed this control a little bit but mostly just for looks. The system wide hot key control I found at The Code Project I modified it a little so I could change the hotkey at runtime and return the current selected hotkey as a text value.

Hi all,
I have a vb.net application which connect to an Oracle Data Base, this application works very well on my PC, but when I tried to install it on another PC which also have .Net framework and Oracle DB, it did not work.
It could not connect to Oracle from any other PC rather than mu PC.
the problem message is:
Ora: 12541 : TNS : No Listener
plz all if any one have an idea to solve the problem tell me plz.

I take it that the other client machine has the Oracle Client installed (at least v8.1). Is the Oracle database on the same machine, or does this machine have to connect to another machine hosting the database? Are you using Oracle Personal Edition to host the database on a remote machine??

And what would that problem be??? You'll have to explain this is a bit more detail, like what you've tried, what the errors you got were and on what lines of code, ...

My guess is that he wants to use stored procedures from MySQL in VB? Not too sure since the question is very lacking in detail

I have code that creates a new window.
From within that window I need to be able to
redirect the first window using vb.net code
becuase I need to build the string first.

You can not do anything to any other window from the server code. If you need a string from the server code, create Javascript code that recreates the string, so that you can use the string in the Javascript.
