use the paging feature of the gridview.. specify the page size to be an integer..
or else u may also ask the user for the page size to be.. like u`ll see here on codeproject on the top..

You can have a simple setup like
First Previous Next Last
It should work fine. Moreover you can give the user the ability to set the no. of rows displayed in a page.

I am having two asps pages, parent page Name: showMap.asp and child page Name: Tiled1.asp, the child page is the source page of Iframe,
that is in parent page.
In parent page, i am calling one javascript function for every 30 seconds to load the image, At the end of the function, I am calling child page
javascript function using following code
parent.frames['mytext1'].TileToCenter(StTileRow, StTileCol, pointX, pointY);
For the First Time, it's working fine. For the Next Refreshment, Javascript error is coming due to the above line and showing in status bar like below:
Object doesn't support this property or method
One Important thing is, In Child page, For displaying HTML Portion, i am using javascript function(TileToCenter) like
function TileToCenter()
{
document.write("");
----------------
---------------
document.write("");
}
What could be the problem? Is this error comes becoz of putting HTML code in Javascript i.e(document.write("");)??. Give me the Solutions for this one

Commonly, both are used for data interchange between webpages.
From my point Query string is best,for small data interchange.
But using sessions U can interchange even datagrid.So ,based on our requirements we can choose any one of them.

As said. You can use the Query string for small data. But you have to avoid sending confidential data as that would be a hacker's dream. And you have to consider the memory constraints while using the Session object.

If you want to create a row in a datatable then you can create a row and then add it to the datatable.

C if u hav limited number of users then v can configure thru Authentication like
code:

so,only 2 users r allowed i.e shiva & imthiyas . no more users are allowed

u can definitely use the inbuilt LOGIN control.. but for that u`ll have to configure the membership of the site.. using the website administration tool..

Hi there!
You can use the ASP.NET login control.
And you can configure this either by using the Configuration utility.
Or you can do this thing programatically. But this is the neatest solution for your problem. And It is one of the simplest too........

the above is my code
when the page is first loaded int he default.aspx(root) the images displays just find however when i log in to another user account and tries to navigate around the subfoler folder(/root/registor/abc.aspx) it will display that it cant find the img file
error:file not found
root/registor/Images/registerbidder
(p.s my subfolder also have an web.config of its own)
instead of looking for the file inside the root folder's image folder
it look for the image folder inside the subfolder
y is this so and how can i solve it please help
