Hi,
I have created the build for my web application using Apache ANT. I used IsCmdBld.exe for making the build.
But when i browse the webpage from IIS, then i get following error on page:
"The file /ABC/Default.aspx has not been pre-compiled, and cannot be requested."
I have compiled the application using NANT and used aspnet_compiler for doing the same.
Why this error comes? How to solve it? Can anyone please guide me?

if we want to create a webapplication dynamically , is it possible to create.
if not is there any other alternative. here we are using xmlhttpost and xmlhttpget. once i get login with one user name and in other instance login with other username the username is getting replaced by the second one which with which i have logged in .
to over this we have create a diferent application and calling this applciation from the applciation1 . then it is working fine. this we created the applicaiton so we got the ouput. so now plz tell me that can we able to create a dyanmic application instead of creating it.

I don't think that you can create one webapplication from other.

This shows bad design. It looks like a session conflict. How you are maintaining sessions ? You need to maintain sessions for each user. When each user logs in create a session for that user. Store logged user name in session variable.

I am using CollapsibelPanelExtender in all the pages.When a user either collapse/expand in any of the page need to be retained in all other pages moving forward.
I used a session variable to set the value, but its not working.
Any help?

If I implement Custom Membership Provider and Custom Membership User do I have to implement
passwordQuestion, comment, isApproved, isLockedOut, creationDate, lastLoginDate, lastActivityDate, lastActivityDate, lastPasswordChangedDate, lastLockedOutDate, isSubscriber, customerID
all properties or I can choose only to implement the ones in my database table.

When i drag and drop any of the server controls from toolbox, controls are not visible(except Link button)
I am able to drag and drop server controls in source view.

Can you see the control at runtime?? You can't see them at design??
It seems like you have to re-install Visual Studio..

Actually, there are a lot of ways to achieve this depend on your need.
For example ~
#1. Calling js function in button click
button1.Attribute.Add("onclick", "functionName();");
#2. Invoking js function

Hi,
I need to populate a treeview from a self referencing table. Some nodes don't child nodes, while some parent nodes have child nodes going down to about 4 or 5 levels. I have searched for 2 days on how to populate a treeview through recursive populating but I have been unsuccesful.
Please if someone knows of something on how to do it like this please let me know.

I'm not sure what you meant by "how to combine two apps".
For example: there is one form called (form1) in solution1 and there is another form called form2 in solution2. Then, it's possible to combine those two applications. All you need to do is that move the form1 from the solution2 or move form2 to solution1. it's simple..

Hi Vurugonda,
"Creating multiple web application" means a lot to us.
It might be about ~
#1. creating virtual directory in IIS (web server).
for that one, you can check this code. IIS 6 - Virtual Directories Management with C#[^]
#2. creating .aspx and .cs file (plus, webconfig, .sln)
[WebSite1]
---web.config
---Default.aspx
---Default.aspx.cs
For that, you have to check manually all files to know how Visual Studio 2005 generate those files.
Generally, it's not necessary to create another web application in one web application because you can access through the base url.
for example, you have website1 (http://localhost/website) in your webserver. then, you create another folders called fdr1 and fdr2 in website1. so, you can access those folders like that http://localhost/website/fdr1 and http://localhost/website/fdr2.

No, you can't turn an asp.net application into part of a winforms app. You can copy code between applications, but there is no easy way to ensure this will work, for example, if both classes have a 'form1' class, you would probably want to rename one ( or both ) of them.

It would probably help if you explained your question better. Right now I don't know what you mean by 'different kind of applications'. The short answer is, the only way to make an app that does all the things two different apps do, is manually.

Just right click on the solution and ADD Existing project>browse the solution file that is .sln then add
then Build the solution again

I have a double array. I need to add values at runtime.
For eg.
Dim dataX0() As Double = {20, 90, 40, 30, 12}
How can i add the values insted of giving like above. I need to add the values from database.

You can't add values to an array. An array can't be resized.
You can use ReDim, which will create a new array and copy the items from the original array.
If you don't know beforehand how many items you will be adding, a List(Of Double) would probably be a better alternative.
