Using IE7:
Adding/editing a comment in Q/A causes answers that follow the one you're commenting on to overlay the comment edit box buttons. I can still click the buttons, but just barely. A page refresh fixes the layout until you edit something again.

I downloaded Chrome (8.0.552.224) this evening and have been getting a feel for it. I noticed that whenever a link is pasted in a post, it gets bracketed by href in FireFox, but that is not happening in Chrome. What should I do?

Use FireFox?

OK, now how about that solution I am looking for?

OK, you want the long answer:
it either works or doesn't work. If it doesn't, there isn't anything we members can do about it, but report it (as you did) and wait (for CP to get fixed or Chrome to get fixed, whichever applies). So don't hold your breath, move on. Hence: use FireFox. Or IE if you must.

Oh, I didn't realize you were actually giving the answer!
I don't know if it works or not. I just see it is not working when I am using Chrome "as-is" after installation. Because a lot of people might be using Chrome already, I wanted to know if there has to be done any settings changes.

Start using FireFox.

John, you made MVP, now stop stating the obvious.

Sorry, I'm kinda used to it. It was all I could do not to type "Google is your friend".

I use FF, just checking out Chrome this evening.

Hmm - that's an odd one. I've run out of time this evening (well, this morning) to nut it out but will try and get it sorted in the next day or so.
Found and fixed the issue. Will upload later this week

while you're at it, I just had a FireFox 3.6 hang while pasting an hyperlink here[^]. It never linkified and I had to kill the tab.

I have the same issue with Chrome, I just get round it by using the "link[^]" button. However, I have found that it sometimes works (sort of) in Q&A.

When someone adds a comment to my answer in Q&A I don't receive an email notification.
Is that by design or is something broken?
In the regular message forums I do get notified.
Cheers

I still don't receive notifications from the Quick Answers section. I never have.
It's very annoying to check manually if someone posted a comment.

Was it an email notification to one of your questions or answers, or email notification to a comment? Notifications to comments are not yet working.
