I think the download count is shown when the system detects '<ul class="download">...</ul>'. Now there is two zip files associated with this article, but they are there just for "Browse Code" page, not to be downloaded. I changed the unordered list with an ordered list (<ol>) to make it hidden and now it is hidden. (On the other hand, counters are still visible on our article list [^].)
Maybe it can be some thing like '<ul class="exdownload">' for external download links.

As I said, download count is triggered by the presence of downloadable files, of which I can see 2 in the article's folder. The text in the article doesn't affect the download count at all.
This raises an issue with your article: we strongly ask that you provide a local copy of downloads in case the offsite links break (and in our experience, almost all do, eventually). Even if the local version is an older set of code, that's fine, and please continue to link to the latest offline version if that suits too.

You are right to worry about external download links. I will never write an external download link without providing local copy of the files...
But I still think that visibility of the counter is affected by the content of the article.
Because the download counter was visible when I used an ul tag with 'class="download"' and it was hidden when I removed the ul tag and inserted an ol tag without a class attribute.
The counter is hidden now inspite of two zip files, because there isn't an ul tag that has 'class="download"' attribute.
I am sorry if I am wasting your time.

Actually you're correct and I was wrong: We used to have it so it checked against local files but the check was too slow, so I have a nice, neat TODO in the code to (a) check against local downloads, and (b) cache the result so it's fast enough.

EDIT - OK Sussed it! It is not instinctive that the comment button relates to the answer rather than the original question.
May need looking at.

I don't agree with Dave about it being not intuitive, but you could add "to this solution" to the button caption.
Or instead of the button, make a "Comment or question" directly in the solution box (like the "reply" to the comments).

The big blue button on the front page is titled "Search Our Articles"
The "Our" implies that you [CodeProject] wrote them. Would it not be better is was simply "Search Articles" or "Article Search" or "Search The Articles".
Also there is symmetry lost on the page, the gap between the left and middle is smaller than the right and middle. It is noticable if you shrink the browser window to the minimum page width.

The new buff? beige? background on the currently selected message is fine, but it makes the code block background look
(a) difficult to pick (on my monitor, anyway) and
(b) somewhat anaemic
Maybe some other pale shade for code blocks?

This is a very recent problem:
when one enters the text for the solution in the Questions & Answers forum, a well known message appears:

This thing is very sticky: it goes above the text area and prevents seeing the text being typed. I had to do line breaks and spend an extra edition session to fix the formatting. It would be the best to fix this problem as soon as possible. I don't mind having these instructions every time as soon as I could hide them or at least shift aside.
Using the occasion, I would like to say that I really appreciate the improvements of the presentation style, even though some functional behavior is questionable, especially around voting and something like that. I hope all the minor glitches and annoyances will be smoothed pretty soon as it happened before. I think the style changes certainly change the site in right direction. I especially appreciate better fonts and typography in general.

I had this happen too, and it was very annoying. I was also bothered by the fact that my text didn't wrap inside the textbox. It let me type much further to the right and then I couldn't see my text unless I put my cursor back on that line and used an arrow key to move over to see it. It might have been because I pasted a link in the solution...I didn't notice the textwrap issue until after I had pasted a link.

This is happening with me too. A message appears "How to answer the question" when we start typing answer in Q/A section and does not disappear until answer is submitted. I also have a screenshot of the bug, let me know if I need to post it here.
Following is the browser detail:
Browser: IE 8, Windows 7.

Sorry if it was not clear enough. This happens when I load the Q & A forum page with the question, and them try to type an answer using "Add your solution here". It's enough to navigate or just scroll to the answer text area to see it.
(Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, Mozilla SeaMonkey 2.12.1.)

The sticky instructions being permanently visible is an issue with IE8.

I'm also getting it with Chrome 21.0.1180.89 - it means you have to type in small amounts per line then delete the line breaks to make the text work as a solution (particularly if you rely on teh speel chekkar as much as I do).

Strange thing, SAK, I am never seeing this sticky, no matter what I do in the QA Forums: don't see it when I start typing a solution answer; don't see it when I add a comment.
