Today , verdict will be given over the Case of child abuse by Indians in Norway.
I am glad that, Indian Govt did not intervene to make it like a Indians vs rest of the world issue.
If parentss were abusive then they should be punished. But if this yardstick is applied than half of Indian population and most
of the teachers should be in Jail.
Seeing the reports comming out on a daily basis,it seems there is some truth in the claim.
First parent say that nothing happened and all was good. Then Police released the report that there were burnt marks and scars.
Now Lawyers say that parents had difficulty with the boy and asked for help but none was provided.
Too much of good is bad,mix some evil in it
Two days ago, my wife wanted to stop at a temple in the evening on our way back home. I saw this guy outside the temple, with a brand new motorcycle, performing 'pooja' to the motorcycle with the help of a priest. The ritual was over in some time, and the priest was paid some pretty decent money. What's funny is that the rider wasn't having a helmet.
I was wondering if his money would have been spent better by buying a helmet instead of paying a priest to do some dubious rituals.
I'm not being blasphemous, but here's thought of the day: If you've a new motorcycle and you'd like to perform a pooja to it, go ahead by all means. But then also cover your empty head with a helmet.
Ponting has retired.
Perhaps not a "gentleman" in Test Cricket terminology but one of the most prolific batsman in cricket.
His impact both on and off the field has always been phenomenal.
Its sad that in the past year or so many great legends have stepped away from the game.
Looks like we are going to have a shortage soon (SRT and Kallis are the last two left and neither of them is going to last for long).
