|Webinar will explore how IT professionals can rapidly discover, subscribe to, and use a range of different enterprise assets with WSO2 Enterprise Store
Palo Alto, CA – December 3, 2013 – Increasingly, enterprises must manage a diverse range of digital assets such as APIs, mobile and Web applications, e-books, gadgets, websites and more. WSO2 will present a technical webinar on how to address this challenge by implementing an enterprise store that combines a Google Marketplace-like experience with enhanced management of digital assets.
Not only can an enterprise store approach significantly increase the return on investment (ROI) of available assets, it also provides a mechanism for monitoring usage, collecting user opinions on those assets to help assess quality, better understanding requirements, and planning for future demands.
The one-hour technical webinar, “Introducing the WSO2 Enterprise Store – Managing and Accessing Digital Assets,” will run Thursday, December 5, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. PST. Managing Digital Assets with WSO2 Enterprise Store
This webinar will explore how IT architects and developers can effectively manage and access digital assets while providing an intuitive, social consumer-like experience that fosters adoption using WSO2 Enterprise Store. Launched in October 2013, WSO2 Enterprise Store is the first complete platform for managing and provisioning any type of digital asset across the entire enterprise asset life cycle.
The session will begin with an introduction of WSO2 Enterprise Store, including key features and core capabilities such as how to search, add or remove subscriptions, and use ratings and comments. It then will examine how WSO2 Enterprise Store Publisher is used to add new assets and change life cycle states. The webinar next will dive deeper into the basic process for adding a new asset type. Finally, the session will discuss advanced customization of an asset type, including asset user interfaces (UIs) for the subscription process and asset-specific pages.
Leading the webinar will be Ruchira Wageesha, a WSO2 associate technical lead on the WSO2 User Engagement Server and WSO2 Enterprise Store product teams. In addition to his product development efforts, Ruchira has provided development support and technology consulting on customer engagements, including customer QuickStart programs focused on WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus, WSO2 Application Server and WSO2 API Manager.
About WSO2 Enterprise Store
The 100% open source WSO2 Enterprise Store expands on the concept of an enterprise application store. It enables IT organizations to set up their own Apple or Google Marketplace-like store where business users and developers alike can easily discover and subscribe to not only applications, but also APIs, e-books, gadgets, websites and any other asset types an enterprise chooses to offer. Only WSO2 provides a socially enabled enterprise store, so users can rate and review assets. Meanwhile, back-office life cycle management and governance ensure compliance with corporate and IT policies and procedures.
WSO2 Enterprise Store is available today as a software download that can run directly on servers or on top of WSO2’s platform as a service (PaaS) software; as a WSO2 Cloud Virtual Machine running on the Amazon Elastic Computing Cloud (EC2), Linux Kernel Virtual Machine (KVM), and VMware ESX; and as a public cloud service hosted by WSO2. As a fully open source solution released under the Apache License 2.0, it does not carry any licensing fees. To learn more, visit http://wso2.com/products/enterprise-store.
