Of course. Less and less Java programmers out there, but the Java code-base still huge and need to be maintained...

Most of the searches are because Java programmers are good targets for "male enhancement" advertising.
You'll never get very far if all you do is follow instructions.

You might be on to something. I was reading the other day about how the 419 scams are poorly written (or that they don't need to be written well) partly as a selection mechanism: only people foolish enough to believe an email that poorly written could be coming from a lawyer would fall for the scam.
Perhaps the same might be said about Java programmers.

Android development is also Java. Pretty sure Android will become an important operating system not only for mobile devices.

Not on the subject - I'm a strong believer of WEB interface and done native Android just for learning...
However if I got the time I may write about Intel XDK - I think it's a great tool that most do not know about...

Dunno. Haven't tried. I'm not yet through with learning in C#, so I don't any have clues on Android Development platforms yet.

If you done with your C# study, you may look into Xamarin's .NET based development tools for Andriod (but beware - not all tools are free there)...

Eclipse is good I do PHP with it, but for Android it means Java!

BURN Eclipse.
Sorry for the shouting, but from my experience Eclipse is one of the worst FUBAR IDEs there are.
The "normal" Eclipse may be O.K., but not suitable for anything else than pure Java Development.
I resort with Visual Studio for any .Net Stuff, Android Studio for any Android Stuff and the Creator IDE (on Linux) for the Qt/C++ work I do.
There is an IDE that fits best for a specific environment, and Eclipse fails at trying to be just okay for everything.
I will never again mention that Dalek Dave was the poster of the One Millionth Lounge Post, nor that it was complete drivel.

It's funny I had no problems whatsoever to use Eclipse for PHP, even found it good.
Android Studio is definitely comes to be better than plain Eclipse for Android - but remember it's still Eclipse!

I started Mono for Andriod then tried Eclipse and Java, then tried Android Studio (also a kind of Eclipse), but a I'm not too good with Java so I looked for something else and found Intel XDK - it's just for me!

I'll add my 5 cents to that:
Eclipse for Android is pretty much FUBAR. The Android Studio is much better and even in it's beta stadium it beats Eclipse for lengths.
