QuestionInadvertent Cookie Stuffing - I Can't Figure Out What I'm Doing... Pin

My partner owns a WordPress based Amazon Affiliate site and were notified that something on our pages was causing visitor’s browsers to be tagged without clicking through (i.e. cookie stuffing). We have until Monday, January 18th to fix the problem but no one seems to definitively know what is happening (we have already spoken to two programmers and had many other affiliate site owners look at our site).

We have made some changes and might have fixed the problem but part of the problem is that Amazon sent us the e-mail below suggesting that it was happening when we were importing the images from their site – only we aren’t importing images. We are hosting them all ourselves. We need to find, remove and test anything that could be causing cookie stuffing ASAP but we don't know what is doing it.

If you can help or you know someone who can help please message me. We are willing to hire someone to help us who knows how to fix the problem.

Here is their e-mail:

Thank you for sending us the information about the traffic you are sending to Amazon. As we stated previously, we have again confirmed that you are automatically tagging customer sessions without the user generating a click to Amazon.com. An example of this behavior can be found at this link:
http://www.chainsawjournal.com/best-cheap-chainsaws-gas/

It appears that when you are importing an image, you are including the entire Amazon url and loading the full detail page for the item (including your tag) in the source code instead of only including the image url.

Thank you for any help you can provide - even if it is only referring us to someone else!
