I've had it a couple of times today, and it's definitely abnormal: the "we're busy" response comes back instantly - there is no delay like you get with a "proper" answer being posted.
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

The message still here...And absurdly it comes immediately, no sign of waiting for the server whatsoever!!!
(But the answer actually posted!)

The version comparison of this question

shows (or seems to show) that the new version is identical with the 16-Feb-11 version.
Why did the system flag the edit as new if there were no changes?
(Certainly not a big issue, but not what I'd have expected.)

There was a new answer on that one yesterday ,and probably removed afterwards
but real problem is that post and edit dates are confusing people
the post date appears as a small text with a light gray color and if someone has edited a question then
his username appears as edited at ### by xyz
and further updates appears as made by the fist person who edited post

when you open that question first thing you will see is edited yesterday
Solution 1 , caused that question to flagged as new , but it still appears as edited by CHill60
if you remove solution 1 today ,because member has posted an answer to an old question
Question will be flagged as new again , and edited today by CHill60
and this will cause other members to assume that's a new question
i have fallen into same situation a week ago  , a spammer has posted a spam to an old question and it was removed later
Then i saw that question as a new one ,and first thing i saw was edited today assumed that question updated ,and i wrote an answer to that without looking at the post date ,yes that was my mistake and i will not do same thing again
but i see every day a few old questions pop up with new answers
Questions should be read only after sometime ,6 months or 1 year for example
A warning text could indicate that the question is pretty outdated
Or at least post date could be a little big-bold
and that edited field should not be updated whenever someone posts a new thing because people assume that question itself has been edited

The editing from me "yesterday" could well have been the marking of a answer as spam in the moderation queue - meaning that I effectively deleted an answer from the post. I've already mentioned this behaviour to Sean.
If Solution 1 is removed I doubt that it will say edited by me and the date will probably update too - at least that's the behaviour I've seen on other posts.
I disagree with making questions read-only as sometimes people do actually add something new or original ... or update with a solution that is appropriate to the latest version of something.
I agree with the warning text.

Hi, I recently have uploaded a tip trick that includes two sets of source files. When I initially uploaded the article every time I went to download the files I get a message saying the file is missing from the code project server??? I fixed it the first time by re uploading the files and I was able to download them again. Well that didn't last long because my friend who wanted to grab the source for the tip/trick got the error again this morning, I went to check and sure enough... can't download the source code to my article again.

My guess is the dates were wrong on the surveys that were set up in there. I'm not 100% sure that's what went down, but I changed some dates. Give it some time and a new one should appear.

I wanted to visit some old bookmarks of mine, but I couldn't. Clicking on them, they dropped me to the first page of the forum.
Is there any expiration date for the bookmarks? Or maybe a problem with their format? I would say they are no "permalinks", which I would consider the correct way to bookmark something here.

Likewise, often searches find old forum content but the links just go to the beginning of the corresponding forum, not the actual posting or thread.
