I was a baseball player and had very good vision. After about 5 years in the industry, my vision was 15/20. Now after 16 years in the industry, I sometimes just see blurs and in the summer I can't see anything when leaving work and walking through the parking lot on sunny days. I have made adjustments, but it definitely is a problem I'm experiencing and getting away from the computer does wonders.

Get a better monitor or get your eyes looked at - I've been in front of a computer for 10+ hours a day for over 30 years and the only deterioration I can put down to age.

Eyes become less flexible with age. Sensitivity to light may (MAY) be an indicator of an underlying disease. I suggest going to an ophthalmologist just to be sure.

Thanks for the advice. I am planning to get a full physical soon and the eyes will be addressed. I've been noticing that I enjoy being in dim or dark rooms.

I work in medical devices and we're required to keep a list of software that we use. We spell out which libraries, version number and download link in case of an audit.
