Something entirely wrong here... Angular team stated they use semantic versioning... So changing the major version manes breaking changes...
So either:
1. Angular do not know what semantic versioning is and they use it because it is so fancy...
2. There are actual breaking changes (and will be in 5 and 6), but they not even know what they are...
3. They only create a platform to be able to deny support to 1 and 2 (and 4 and 5) in a faster way...

So I'm officially out at this point. I'm not a fan of the way Angular2 doesn't provide vanilla JS support, or how it presupposes a tool-chain, and the confusion from the framework developers is just going to make everything worse moving forward.
I'm looking at React, but have the same issue with the tool-chain.
So I guess I stay with NG1 (NG Classic?)

Don't know about elsewhere, but at our company, the QA Analyst is someone who can write the documentation and open a browser and click the right places and fill in values, and make sure the output is what's expected.
The QA Engineer is someone who scripts and automates that stuff using Selenium, and can also use script-based tools to do load and regression testing of REST services. The QAA doesn't even know what a REST service is, let alone be able to script a load test for one.
