I only say that because it has earned that reputation. It's about as secure as IE6.
I know Reader has a ton of security holes in it too, earning it about the same reputation.

It might help if there was a patch you could apply for IE11 and Edge.

It wasn't there when I checked this morning.
When I checked an hour ago, it started downloading FCU.
It's now been sat on "Downloading updates: 62%" for a good 20 minutes, with no network, disk or CPU activity.

Seriously, I installed chrome because I wanted a web browser. If I wanted an anti-virus software I would have downloaded and installed one. Google should really stop overstepping it's boundaries like that.

That's a very good question. I got the impression that it was the latter (just expanded with a few things from ESET), but I could easily be wrong.

Now this I would be fine with. I'm tired of having to protect my browser from crapware injection. Why does every installer for Open Source software want to install a browser extension? and why does java still try to do that too?
