In which directory should I put my data files and how to define the path in my program (VB o C# in Visual Studio) to be able to access them, in debug, release modes and in the published version with the executable installed in other computers?
I have just learned Microsoft Visual Basic. Net 2018 with SQL Server.
One problem in update command method, I have prepared the program like this :
<pre> Dim i As Integer
Dim update1 As String = (“update datamahasiswa set no= ’” & TextBox1.Text & ”’ where nama= ’” & TextBox2.Text & ”’”)
Me.LatihanDataSet.Tables(0).Rows(1).Item(1) = TextBox1.Text
i = DatamahasiswaTableAdapter1.Update(LatihanDataSet.datamahasiswa)
Catch ex As Exception
MessageBox.Show("no of rows updated=" & i)
The message shown up, like this :
update requires a valid update command when passed data row collection with modified rows.
It means : the update method does not run well.
When I insert the command Executequery, this is not enlisted in VB.net
I was given just one table with many information in it. The requirement isas follows.
I have added columns that are only required.
UId(string) Class(string) Primary Subclass(string)
1. Select Min(UId), Max(UId), Class
2. Display in a box Min-Max and Class
3. List the distinct Primary subclasses when clicking 'View More', as it is one to many
4. Each list item link to further details in another page.
I have created a Repeater and inside the ItemTemplate, I added two literals for UID and Class, and a BulletedList to display the distinct Primary subclass. However, I cannot get the text of the clicked list as it is inside the ItemTemplate. How can I achieve this? Please help.
when selecting the find and replace dialog box in the VS2015 IDE i no longer have the check box's to select things like "Match Case", "Match whole word" etc. just the text, ive searched for hours on the web and nothing has shown up, with this driving me mad - has anyone else had this as it seems to have happened recently and i have no idea how to fix it. any help appreciated
It started as an extension for VS2010, and was then integrated into Visual Studio. There have been various changes to the UI over the years. In VS2017, the "match case" and other options are displayed below the search box. In earlier versions, they were accessed by clicking the arrow next to the search box, or pressing the down-arrow key when the search box is focussed.
