Though it has been around for 13 years now, F# has in some ways seemed to be the neglected little brother of the older C# language in the .NET ecosystem. Then there's that *other* language... What was it called again? Simple? No, Basal? Dang, it's been a while.

Earlier this week at Build 2018, Kevin Gallo previewed a new WebView for Windows 10, bringing the latest Microsoft Edge rendering engine to .NET WinForms and WPF apps for the first time in an upcoming release of Windows 10. Oh, goodie. A new set of quirks and workarounds incoming.

However, until recently, WinForms and WPF apps didn’t have access to the Microsoft Edge-powered WebView.
Uh, I think I'll stick with Chromium. Chrome is still a better browser.

It would be interesting to see comparisons/benchmarks of the Edge WebView and something like CefSharp that uses Chromium.

Almost all major OS vendors released security patches yesterday after a researcher discovered that some OS makers have misinterpreted an Intel CPU debug feature and left their systems open to attacks. Docs were misinterpreted? They're normally so clear and helpful
Especially the Microsoft ones: "The Colors.Black property returns the color black."

The fact that those docs were misinterpreted so widely really speaks to the quality (or lack thereof) of said docs.

Nonsense. I didn't actually read the article, but I would counter that we don't lose focus, its just that years of experience has shown us that life is short and too precious to spend too long on any one task. Or we've become so desensitized, we just don't care as much anymore.
