In other news,
A 200 Page dossier prepared by 11 JNU teachers in 2016, described the university as a "Den of organized sex racket" & claimed that sex workers inside JNU messes are a common thing. In 2011 few students caught recording blue film in hostel room with CDs.
JNU is a den of organised sex racket, says dossier prepared by university teachers - India News[^]
No wonder why they want rooms at a dirt price!
Recently they Vandalized the statue of Swami Vivekanand before the inauguration.
Maybe the Taxpayer should have an option not to pay Tax for such filth and bigotry place.

Take this report with a pinch of salt since it is politically motivated, Its going to be like Kanahiya kumar case of "anti-nationalism".
Quote: e report has been prepared by a group of 11 teachers, who are believed to be close to the Bharatiya Janata Party and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, the students' wing of the RSS.

No surprise for this counter-argument where the JNU is den of leftist besides the report was based on several incidents and where on the earth leftist would believe on the facts they would deny it with such angles(RSS and bla...).
The report is prepared by 11 Teachers. And it's not based on the singular incident where it was found the campus is fill of filth(sex). There are numerous videos and news where it was found students/campus are involved in such activities. Kanahiya Kumar case, it can't be denied that there are people on the campus who organized such "Anti National" event in addition to commemorating Afzal Guru the terrorist.

On 12th November 1969, the Indian National Congress party split into two factions - one lead by Nijalingappa (called Congress O), and the other lead by Indira Gandhi (called Congress I). What we see today is this faction Congress I. The other faction gradually became the Janata Party, which won the 1977 elections.

There are 800+ universities in India, only JNU has Riots every few months for lunatic reasons.
1. Sometimes its for Attendance rules.
2. Chargesheet on Bharat Tere Tukde Tukde
3. Now attack & tearing Clothes of Teachers
The freeloaders of JNU want Rs. 10 a month room for life in Delhi. The riot is only for the hike of Rs. 300.
Clearly there is something rotten in state of JNU.
You can have all the tools in the world but if you don't genuinely believe in yourself, it's useless.

Maybe they are thinking that they are still living in the age of Nehru. Already 55 years since he is gone.

If you watched the news it looks like a war between Tax-Payer(Police Force) vs Freeloaders.
A railway station entry is costlier than their room rent. Now I understand, they don't pass the exam purposefully so as to enjoy a decent life at the expense of Tax Payers. They take 10 years to complete 3 years of education.
JNU like institutes is completely useless for the Nation as its education has only made the hooligans.

Quote: 10 a month room for life in Delhi. Seems they rolled back the fees from 600/- to 200/- (before increase it is 20/-) for single occupancy and for double occupancy they rolled back from 300/- to 100/- (before increase it is 10/-)
This is unbelievable that all these days they paid so low. Instead they could give student loans for very less interest. Without strings attached I don't think you can groom them into professionals

I can't believe management falls back against such hooliganism. I have seen several freshers living so humble when they were studying they were used to pay rent to their "relatives" for their self-esteem.
Definitely it's not the education they are getting in JNU with such a sycophant environment.
I just found the current hostel charges per month(In Rupees)
Hostel Admission Fee - 5
Single seater room Rent - 20
Double seater room Rent - 10
Hostel Security Fee(Refundable) - 50
Water & Electricity Utility Charges - NIL
Service Charge - NIL
Mess Security Deposite(Refundable) - 750
Mess Advance(Adustable) - 750
NewsPaper Annual charge. - 50 Rs.
So all these years they were enjoying all the facilities for at a price of a peanut however 300 Rs. a month charge is not acceptable for them in the Posh area of Delhi.
If I remember correctly then I used to pay 3000 Rs. of one-semester* charge for Hostel way back 12 years before and that location/college was 100 KM away from one of the Metro City!
*500 per month.

A room for 10/- is not subsidy. Its equivalent to free.
I saw people/students talking to news channels. And they are wearing wild-craft bags and other nice clothing. Its hypocrisy. And please keep in mind that it's the taxpayers money which is going into these subsidies and it is better to keep the subsidies to minimum
Quote: What do you mean by it As I said, if they get loans at least they will have the burden to repay them back. And the period of stay also needs to be limited. If the course is for 3 years, there is no point in allowing a student for more than 5 years (under normal circumstances).
With no strings attached we are making them duds and useless and doing more harm to them.
IITs and IIMs have much more strict rules and higher fees. So I am thinking why not JNU
