I read the entire article and saw the various unethical behaviors that the article called out, but I did not see one line that said, "workers will steal proprietary info".
Can someone tell me where that is in the article? Just curious.

Game theory, innit.
Even if you don't wish to act unethically, once you establish that others are acting unethically (and, worse, that it directly leads to career advancement and success) then it becomes irrational to hold back.
If everyone else (well everyone else who is doing well) is cheating, the only way to compete successfully is to cheat as well. See also certain sports, of course.

I hope they never screw with the verbatim search option. I install the Verbatim Search tool on all my Chromium broswers as a default, and very seldom use non-verbatim because the results are so bad that way!
