opening and Parsing the Web.SiteMap for dynamic menu creation

Hi,
I want to open and parse the Web.SiteMap in the Site Mater code behind (SiteMaster.cs). I am using the SiteMapDataSource. We can have the open SiteMap file using it, but it does not provide any mathods to parse the file in the code behind. Does anybody has the idea of how to do it? Either this way or do I need to go form the normal XML parsing programmatically.
Actually I do need to generate the menus from Web.Sitemap dynamically according to the CSS layout which I am using.
I have tried asp:Menu with SiteMapData source. It is not giving the results which I want to. Tried different styling techniques. Now, I want to purse the XML parsing option.
