Opening an excel 2010 dynamically

I have created a tabular format in asp.net using repeater and then open an excel 2003 using
content-type application/vnd.ms-excel
This workd for excel 2003

But i need to open an excel file format for excel 2010. Through my code I downloaded the excel file and I have excel 2010 installed on my PC. But
Getting the "incorrect format file issue" when tries to open the same
downloaded file.

Please help me out.

Yes I have tried the same but the incorrect format file is coming when I tried to open the downloaded file.

can we do some other stuff like converting repeater data to XML format and then to load it in excel 2010 format.... what say? .. suggesty something

You can use this library http://www.codeproject.com/KB/office/ExcelReader.aspx
Or use OpenXML SDK - here's an example:
