How do redis works to help in session persistence in window azure

I have a very basic question,that when we deploy our application on cloud,and to manage the traffic we use load balance,Now if a user hit server 1 through load balance,his session is created with that server,and after some time his hit is refer to server two by load balance,will his new session will be created again?if this does happen,and i use redis cache to maintain his session through out his interaction?

then how redis manage to persistence the session across all server?hope you all got my point?
