Hello everybody. I just received a good offer from an IT Company, to get back to work again (I am already retired), they sent me an evaluation survey. After read it, I suppose they want to see my investigation skills, because I already told them that I have never work with this tool (MVC) and they gave me a couple of days and total freedom to look for technical assistance in the internet to solve it.

For start, they want me to work with Visual Studio 2015, that I don´t have installed in my PC.

Can I download the proffesional edition, for evaluation purposes to develop my test app, even if I don´t buy it ?

If it´s so, where can I download it ?. Of course I can search for it myself, but I just want to save time.

Thanks.

What I have tried:

I´d been studying MVC with C# lenguaje, and I´m still searching thru the Internet for technical stuffs.

I think you still can get the older version for trial but first joining Visual Studio Dev Essentials for free.

Older Downloads | Visual Studio[^]

Download Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2015 from Official Microsoft Download Center[^]

Why not just try out the 2017 version?
Visual Studio | Developer Tools and Services | Microsoft IDE[^]

Or community version?
Free IDE and Tools | Visual Studio Community[^]

Here are the features comparison from Community to Professional editions.
Compare Offerings | Visual Studio[^]

Thank you very much, Bryan. There was two files to download in that url:
vs_proffessional.exe and vs2015.pro_enu.iso.

I downloaded the second one: Did I the right thing ?

They also want me to use MSSQL Server 2012. Where can I download it ? (if you´re so kind to tell me, or do I have to publish another question ?).

I don't think you need MSSQL Server 2012. Try the SQL Express SQL Server 2016 Express Edition | Microsoft[^]

That´s the versión they ask for the solution, I have never heard of this before. I do have installed SQL Server 2014 Express. Do you think it suits for their purposes ?. They want me to develop a NET Core MVC App.

Such a good challenge for me. I´m going to try solving it even if I don´t get the job. (I am pretty sure I can solve it, but not in two days !!!). and there´s such a good salary too. Not according to mexican standars.
