VB6 save button need some advice or suggestion's

Can you give me some suggestions.

i have a problem about the save button.

this button should not accept or save when the existing data on my form is selected

in other world it should not work when a data is selected but work unless i add new data first before i save it.

i have a little bit of background on VB6 (very little that i only know the most basic of the most basic part) what i'm trying to say is i don't know the code..

well Thank you for reading this and please say something if you don't really understand my question.

What I have tried:

i have a solution in mind but i don't know the code's to put

here's my solution:
when the form load, the save button should be in false state or cannot be click
and then when i click on the add button thaen that's the time the save button can be click.
