When I am try to debug my web application it is showing an error. The text of the error message:

“Unable to start debugging on the web server. Check for one of the following.

1) The application you are trying to debug uses a version of the Microsoft .NET Framework that is not supported by the debugger.
2) The debugger has made an incorrect assumption about the Microsoft .NET Framework version your application is going to use.
3) The Microsoft .NET Framework version specified by you for debugging is incorrect.

Please see the Visual Studio .NET debugger documentation for correctly specifying the Microsoft .NET Framework version your application is going to use for debugging.”

But build is successful .After successful build when I am trying to log in to the system it showing some parser error.

How to solve it??What may be the probable reason of it? Now I am using .net 3.5 visual studio 2008.Few days ago I have installed sp 1 of VS2008, update of vs2008 for jquery and VWD2010.All other asolution is working fine.

IF you use the IIS Version 6.0 the above solution is correct, if you use
IIS 7 you have to chooose the correct .Net framework from the "default
application pool " . or Create new application pool and assign it to your web site/application after choose the correct .Net FrameWork.

The problem is solved now. In the properties of the virtual directory for this application the version of .net was somehow changed to a different version.
