I want to know that How can I connect to oracle database without installing a oracle client in my Machine? :confused::confused:

I want to connect to Oracle database (which is located in server machine) without installing any oracle client (like toad for oracle) in my Computer. I have read each & every articles & newsletters but nowhere I found these type of sol'n. Everyone were says that It is necessary to install at least a oracle client in computer, then it will works. So, is there any steps or method through which we can connect to database without installing a client.

If anybody have the sol'n then please tell me?

You should consider to use oracle instant client. The size is quite acceptable.

If you concern about the full oracle client size.

If you want your application to connect to an Oracle database you would need to install the Oracle Data Provider for .Net[^] (ODP.Net) on the client machine.

It used to be that you could use the System.Data.OracleClient namespace but Microsoft Deprecated[^] this in favour of the Oracle Data Provider.
