database retrive

i have a table in sql server & i want to retrive one column from the data base into a table on ASP.NET form .

and data must be show hyper link on click i want to perform any operation.

In one column only 4 row must be show. other row of the column must be show in column 2,3,4 so on.

if same thing can perform in gridview then its ok.


plese help me............
