Hi all.

I have no knowledge of programing, but need a program as this:
1. Runs as service in Windows
2. Listens on a TCP, for an XML file send from/to localhost from another appclication.
3. This XML files, has(among other things) a filepath, and some data from an SQL.
4. The program/service, is to get the file(jpg)(via the path), and rename the JPG to a name consisting of the other data captured in the XML.
5. Send the new renamed jpg to a FTP or alike.

Is this possible.??

What I have tried:

Nothing. I have no knowledge of programing.

Solution 1

It's probably possible - but if you have "no knowledge of programming" then you have about as much chance of producing the software as a five year old has of winning a F1 race, and for the same reasons.

If you need this written, then go to and pay someone to write it. But be aware: you get what you pay for - pay peanuts, get monkeys.

This is very good advice, thx alot. I had to start somewhere, and this site was it. I know that ut is gonna cost, and that no problem, i just had no idea where to start. :-)

You're welcome!
This is a site where volunteers help those who are stuck, not a site where we do whole projects for you. Be careful with Freelancer - there are a lot of idiots out there, and people who will bid you low but charge a fortune for changes. Don't pay up front (maybe a percentage is OK), specify clearly what you want, insist on source code being yours and delivered before final payments, and test, test, test that software!

Solution 2

Is this possible?
Absolutely, yes, that is definitely something possible.

Is this possible here on CP?
I do not think anyone here would want to develop a solution for your specific needs. People here like to help on specific issues with actual existing code; providing full specific solutions does not fit into this category, I'm afraid.
