How to extract deleted and undeleted data from raw data?

Hello everyone,

I have make a clone of a phone memory card using disk dump. So now i have to extract deleted and undeleted data from this clone! I am thinking of using VB 2008. Can anyone help me in the task or had codes for doing it or any ideas? I am stuck and don't know where to start.Which are the libraries to use?

Do you really need to write own application?
I think you need the same application, which you used to make clone.
