err about command "STAT" (POP3)

i want to check new mail in my mailbox (server MDAEMON) . so i send command "STAT\r\n" (send by socket). but result alway is 3 mail(the number mail when i log on)althought i have two new mail (num mail is 5). i don't know why. help me
p.s : sorry for my bad english :)

Solution 1

login to the server using a TELNET client (port 25 I think) and do the same thing by hand. If you're getting the same result, the problem is with your mail server, not your code. In that case, I can't help you as I've never used your mail server.

i use telnet, and that's same result. so, i think my sever is err. i don't know why it is.
