Opening Own file type with Own software

hello all
i wanna know a matter that
i made a project which can create a new own file with my own file type and can read the data of that file by calling from my software.
But i wanna to know that when i will make double click on my own file, my software become open and show the data of that file in software.
how can i write in vb.net for that matter?
if all of u can, please tell me.
i will thank for that.....
