You can try having look at this article[^].

It's in C#, but shouldn't be that difficult to use in VB.Net.

If you find it difficult to convert it to VB, try http://www.developerfusion.com/tools/convert/csharp-to-vb/

Manas, I don't think it supports free speech recognition (may be only a right of free speech :-) as OP probably wants. All it does is loading very limited grammar and recognize words/phrases from that grammar. It does not allow to dictate arbitrary text and get it recorded in text data. I never heard that System.Speech was capable of this, did you?

Thank you,

Of course it would be limited. Taking down an arbitrary text and record it into text data would be depend on how the Library's dictionary. (kind of the way it is tuned to understand). Limitations would be there.

But surely, normal words and texts does get recorded.

Wait a second. What's not in current grammar is not recognized at all, or do I miss something? Maybe, some different mode? Do you mean I don't have to put nearly all dictionary into Grammar instance? I never saw such codes. Do you know how to make it?

Did you try to look for it here or on web? Here you go:
Text-To-Speech[^]
Text to Speech with the Microsoft Speech Library and SDK version 5.1[^]
