Has anyone had any issues with mapping SQL Server datatypes to SSIS types?

I have a Lookup transformation in a package which accepts a flat file delimited with semicolons and loads the data therein into a database.

The lookup is trying to reference a column of type int in an SQL Server view.

In the Flat File Connection Manager I'm setting the column data type to DT_I4 as per

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms141036.aspx[^]

But when I try to associate the columns ion the lookup editor, I keep getting an error saying

One or more columns have unsupported data types or the data types do not match.

Has anyone else seen anything like this?

Thanks in advance for any help.
