hi,

I have an executable file. I need to extract the code which is written in Visual Basic 6 and then convert it to Visual Basic 2008 code.

Can anybody help?

v4

No. It is:
1) A lot easier with the source code.
2) A waste of time - you will put so much effort into this that you would have been better off re-writing it from scratch.

Agree! 5+

Does not sound worth the trouble ;)

This, and only this way! My 5.

That's called reverse engineering[^] and, as already noted by OriginalGriff, it is usually more difficult than rewriting the code from scratch.

I would say, about 1000 time more difficult; better not even thing about the idea. With source code -- it depends, also can be more difficult. .NET and VB.NET has very little to do with VB. My 5 anyway.
