Media Element in WPF

Hi
i have used the media element in my project and i have coded as per the demo program from internet. but i am not able to play the video file.
what could be the reason. my media player version is 9.and i am using win XP for the development.

mediaElement1.Play();
mediaElement1.stop(); 
mediaElement1.Pause();

this are the fucntions i have used.
