Using Diskid32 to retrieve serial number of customer’s hard disk http://www.winsim.com/diskid32/diskid32.html.

But Diskid32 comes with its own concerns and retrieving serial no in all the cases is critical.

So, is diskid32 a full-proof option to retrieve hard disk serial no or is there any other better alternative for this?
