Deploying my web application project on IIS

Hi all,
I have 3 folders in my application BLL, GUI and DAL. The web.config file is in GUI.
I have created a virtual directory on IIS and trying to open the page from browser as like http://localhost/SMS/GUI/LoginPage.aspx, but it is giving the following error

It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level.  This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS.
Please help me
